Resumen:
We report a new record of Eurhopalothrix bruchi (Santschi, 1922) from a mountain system in central-eastern Argentina. This is the southernmost record for the species, and the first reported in grassland habitats. One worker was collected with a pitfall trap buried at 700 m above sea level during a survey of the myrmecofauna at the Ernesto Tornquist Provincial Park, Buenos Aires, Argentina (38° 03´ 41" S, 61° 59´ 18" W), in the summer of 2012-2013. We compiled previous records of the species in the Neotropics and updated the current geographical distribution.
