PERCEPCION DE EVENTOS TRAUMÁTICOS POR NIÑOS EN RELACIÒN CON SU NIVEL SOCIOECONÓMICO

Resumen El presente trabajo analiza los distintos eventos traumáticos percibidos por niños de nueve a doce años de edad de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Una muestra de 534 participantes de ambos sexos fue evaluada a través de una entrevista semiestructurada construida ad-hoc para conocer las situaciones que se consideran como traumáticas en los menores. Se examinó la relación entre los distintos eventos y el nivel socioeconómico bajo y medio pudiendo observar diferencias significativas. La diferencia se reflejó en que los niños de clase socioeconómica más baja mencionan mayor variedad y cantidad de eventos estresantes pero no los perciben con la intensidad que para la clase media tendría un evento de ese tipo. Palabras clave: experiencia traumática - pobreza -  escolares                                                                         Abstract The present work analyzes the different traumatic events perceived by children from nine to twelve years of age of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. A sample of 534 participants of both sexes was evaluated across a semi-constructed constructed interview ad-hoc to know the situations that are considered to be like traumatic in the minors. The relation was examined between the different events and the socioeconomic low and average level being able to observe significant differences. The difference was reflected in that the children of the lowest socioeconomic class mention major variety and quantity of stressful events but do not perceive them with the intensity that for the middle class would have an event of this type.
