Resumen:
Finding of an Uca uruguayensis (Decapoda, Ocypodidae) specimen with two hypertrophied claws in Florianopolis, SC, Brazil is reported. A conspicuos threat behavior, made with the two chelae, was displayed by the crab at the time of its capture. Biometric measures took in this specimen were: maximum carapace (7.92mm), abdominal (2.20mm) and celae widths (3.66 mm right chela; 3.58mm left chela), caparace (5.04mm) and chelae lenght (9.74mm right chela; 8.82 lef chelae) and maximum chelae height (2.14mm right chela; 2.06mm left chela. Implication of the two hypertrophied chelae on the feeding behavior are discussed.
