This article, from two members of Development Alternatives with Womenfor a New Era (DAWN), aims to provide a perspective from a long-standingsouth-based network in the global women?s movement on the SustainableDevelopment framework for the next decades. It starts by highlightingsome of the key remaining challenges for the advancement of women?shuman rights and gender equality, and then assesses the 2030 Agendafor Sustainable Development, and the outcome of the third InternationalConference on Financing for Development (the Addis Ababa ActionAgenda) from a feminist perspective. It pays particular attention to threedimensions: economic and financial volatility, the role of the privatesector, and the domestic resource mobilisation. Does the 2030 Agendaand its financing provide a foundation to enable us to tackle thestructural obstacles that remain, advancing gender equality andwomen?s human rights for the next decades?
