Resumen:
Astrobiology is a relatively new multidisciplinary branch of science which involves the study of life as a planetary phenomenon. Its main objective is to understand the origin of life on Earth and the possibilities of existence of life in the universe. In this work I will comment some of the most relevant aspects of this area and I will focus in the interdisciplinary work carried out by our research group which involves a direct interaction between astronomy astrophysics and biology. The main objective of this research is to study the stellar radiation in extraterrestrial environments to analize the origin and the possibility of existence of life; as we know it in solar and extrasolar planetary bodies.
