Abstract: Versatile alkyne-containing amino acids were used asambident precursors in the divergent synthesis of alkylidenelactonesand 1-pyrrolines. Two gold-catalyzed protocols were applied for selective intramolecular O- and N-cycloisomerizationreactions.
