Resumen:
The recent discovery of hybrid ruthenocuprates has brought a new class of compounds to light in which long-range ferromagnetic ordering coexists with superconductivity . One member of this class of materials is RuSr2 GdCu2O8ÿd (Ru-1212) which has a crystal structure that consists of sequences of alternating CuO2 double planes, as those in high-Tc superconductors (HTS), and RuO2-monolayers, similar to those in SrRuO3 . The Ru-1212 compound becomes superconducting at Tc= 15 to 40 K well below the magnetic transition T Curie ˆ 133 to 136 K. Superconductivity seems to leave intact the ferromagnetic ordering of Ru-moments below Tc . In this Note we report our preliminary results concerning Raman scattering from magnetic excitations in Ru-1212.
