The equilibrium assay showed a maximumcapacity of3.1 mg/g with better fitting for theLangmuirmodel. Moreover,thehomogeneity/heterogeneityparameters of the Sips, Toth and Redlich-Peterson models werecloseto a value of 1, indicatinga homogeneous sorbent/sorbate interaction. Typicalnatural water ions competedwith As(V) for the sorption sites, beingsulphate the most relevant interference.This interference was also evidenced in As(V) adsorption from naturalwater samples where the sorption capacity varied depending the anioncomposition of the sample. Thereutilization of the hybrid gel was assessed up tofive adsorptioncycles.p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; direction: ltr; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: 115%; widows: 2; orphans: 2; }p.western { font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; }p.cjk { font-family: "SimSun","宋体"; font-size: 11pt; }p.ctl { font-family: "Cordia New",sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; }a:link { color: rgb(0, 0, 255); }
