Resumen:
An alternative density functional for studying adsorption of$^4$He onto solid surfaces is suggested, where the helium-heliuminteraction is screened at small distances by the two-bodydistribution function $g(r)$ and the gradient-gradient term of theOrsay-Trento proposal is replaced by a contribution written interms of the gradient of $g(r)$. Results for helium adsorption ontoplanar Na substrates are reported.
