Resumen:
Abstract-The IR spectra of nitroprusside and of its decomposition products incorporated in potassium hexacyanometallate(II1) (metal = Fe, Co) matrices has heen studied. The observed multiplet structure exhibited by the nitroprusside NO stretching band in the IR spectra (covering a range of about 35 cm-‘) can be attributed to anisotropic host lattice effects, thus showing the sensitivity of this vibration to crystal environment.
