Resumen:
Abstract  Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is an important legume crop in Argentina with 95% of its production concentrated in the province of Córdoba. Actually, the losses of soil fertility and a decline in peanut yield have been reported in this area. In order to improve nitrogen fixation in peanut, a study was conducted to determine the effects of peanut inoculation with selected strains of rhizobia (TTOO2R, SEMIA 6144R and TAL 1000R) on seed yield and plant nitrogen balance under different conditions of soil fertility (high and low nitrogen content). Although the results obtained did not show variations in the symbiotic parameters and peanut yield between uninoculated and inoculated seeds with selected strains, a higher contribution of biological nitrogen fixation to peanut nutrition at low nitrogen soil (25 kg ha-1) than at  high nitrogen soil (135 kg ha-1) was observed.
