Resumen:
A large 4 EeV event (ID=20666019), detected simultaneously with 26 Surface Detector stations and with a 17 antennas of the Engineering Radio Array, has been compared to detailed proton and iron simulations performed with ZHAireS using the energy, arrival direction and impact point reconstructed from the Surface Detector as input. We generated 100 proton and 100 iron induced air showers while randomly varying the impact parameters and the energy within the uncertainty of the Surface Detector reconstruction. The agreement between the radio signals predicted and measured is ∼18 ± 12% in the overall absolute magnitude for proton induced air showers, and 23 ± 14% for iron induced air showers. The agreement between the predicted radio signal from the proton (iron) induced air shower that fits the measurement best is in the order 12% (13%) in the overall absolute magnitude and of order 8% (10%) in the relative amplitudes at the different antenna locations. The striking agreement obtained suggests that radio measurements can be used for establishing shower development.
