Mass spectra by electron impact-ionization of penta-0-benzoyl derivatives of
alfa-D-g1ucopyranose. beta-D-glucopyranose, alfa-D-glucofuranose. alfa-D-galactopyranose, alfa-D-glucofuranose, beta-D-glucofuranose.
alfa-D-mannopyranose, and beta-D-mannopyranose,
and of tetra-0-bcnzoyl derivatives of alfa-D-xylopyranose, alfa-D-lyxopyranose,
alfa-D- ribopyranose. and alfa-D-arabinopyranose are reported. Their
fragmentation pattern is proposed and the fragments useful for diagnostic purposes
are presented.
