Cliernical shifts arid coupling constants of 1H-n.m.r. spectra of the perbenzoates of alfa -D- glucopyranose ( 1), beta-D-glucopyranose (2). alfa-D-galactopyranose (3). alfa-D-rnannopyranose (4), beta -D-rnannopyranose (5). and alfa-D-galactofuranose (6) are reported. The "C-n.m.r. chemical shifts of compounds 1-3 and 6. and of penta-O-bcnzoyl-beta- D-galactofuranose (7 ) are given.
