Resumen:
Samples of the Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-G-0 system were prepared, with and without silver, by an amorphous citrate route. After the third sintering treatment, the undoped specimens consisted of an almost pure 2223 phase (more than 90%) while the others presented a mixture of 2212 and 2223 phases, PbCa,O, and metallic silver. The critical temperature at zero resistance [T,(O)] of the samples was observed to decrease with successive sintering treatments, this effect being less marked for the Ag-doped system. Both T,(O) and critical current densities J, were improved by the silver addition. A.C. susceptibility measurements indicated that silver increases the coupling between the grains.
