Global History and Bicentennial: The Problematic Reception of Latin American Emancipation in Marx?s Historiography

As considererd in this paper, we think that the Marxian issues on colonialism fit critically into the horizon of Global History. It is worthy to cross the Marxian debate on colonialism and modernization with post-colonial studies on the issue of Marx's eurocentrism, and this intersection is critically embedded within the horizon of Global History. We develop this issue looking at Marx's article on Simon Bolivar and the interpretation by José Aricó in the Eighties.
