Los tránsitos de lo tangible a lo intangible, y viceversa. El caso del barrio del Abasto de Buenos Aires

En este trabajo quiero reflexionar sobre algunos tránsitos de lo tangible a lo intangible y viceversa, para luego pensar cómo se articulan dichas dimensiones en virtud de un patrimonio específico. Para ello voy a analizar, en la segunda parte del trabajo, aquellos tránsitos en relación al patrimonio del barrio del Abasto de Buenos Aires. El patrimonio intangible cobra vida en las creaciones y recreaciones de personas de carne y hueso, y a su vez es el soporte más o menos visible de la aparición de nuevos monumentos o patrimonios tangibles. En sentido inverso, en algunas ocasiones asistimos a la paradoja de una obra patrimonial que desaparece físicamente y al “desplazarse” a las memorias, ensoñaciones e imágenes mentales de sus testigos, parece fijarse con más intensidad que cuando su “cuerpo” ocupaba un lugar en el mundo.         This paper deals with the relationships between the tangible and the intangible, and how these dimensions articulate reciprocally in specific patrimonial objects. In order to do so, the second part of this work analyzes the specific case of the Abasto neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires. In our case, the intangible patrimony becomes alive in the creations and recreations of concrete individuals, which, in turn, materialize in new monuments and tangible objects. Conversely, sometimes we experience the paradox of a material monument which, yet disappearing physically, it seems to acquire a thicker density than it had when its “body” occupied an actual place in the world. In this sense, it becomes fixed with more intensity in the memories, daydreaming, and mental images of its bearers.
