LaMnSnO: depression of the magnetization

This work presents results on the magnetic response of LaMnSnO (x"0.00, 0.025, 0.05 and 0.1) prepared bythe liquid-mix method. Homogeneous samples of composition up to a x"0.10 were obtained by synthesis at temperatureslower than 7503C. Magnetization (M) measurements as a function of ¹ at 5000 Oe and at low applied magnetic"eld (100 Oe, ZFC}FC condition) show a depression of M as a function of Sn concentration. M vs. H/¹ curves can bedescribed by a Langevin function. The magnetic study reveals the presence of short magnetic order suggesting theexistence of clusters with a superparamagnetic behavior.
