Resumen:
Mesoporous thin films (MTF) present a fascinating variety of pore ar-chitectures, with controlled size, shapes and structures on the mesoscopic scale (2-100 nm). The pore symmetry and orientation of these materials was assessed by diffraction at low angles, on the D11A SAXS1 line of LNLS. MTFs can be used as functional building blocks of more complex multilayer architectures. The possibility of controlling aspects such as film or pore spatial ordering, surface modification and pore interconnection leads to promising applications, from selective membranes to environment-responsive photonic crystals.
