Resumen:
A new combination is provided for a species of Verbenaceae from Brazil, Lippia horridula comb. nov., which wasoriginally described as Eriope horridula (Lamiaceae). Lippia adpressa is here recognized as a synonym of Hyptisobtecta (Lamiaceae).
