This work aims to study OCPs plant uptake, translocation and mobilization from both, soil and air. Leek plants (Allium porrum) were grown in soils with two OCPs levels (higher and below 5 ng/g dry weight). To evaluate soil to plant volatilization, plants were grown under the presence or absence of plastic covers in soil. OCPs were quantified by GC-ECD in soil, root, stem and leaves. OCPs levels, mobilization and availability in leek plants were dependent on growing conditions, with a positive correlation between soil and tissue levels. The presence of plastic covers resulted in higher aerial levels, probably as a consequence of higher solubility enhanced by soil temperature.
