Resumen:
In the last two decades in Argentina, state initiatives aimed at young people prioritized educational activity as a guide for youth projects. Facilitating high school graduation, the creation of universities, as well as the student scholarship policy, are some of the axes that enable new possibilities for educational continuity at the university level. In this way, the massification and extension of post-secondary education continues to blur the classic and extended transition from education to work, integrating the low socioeconomic sectors in this dyad. At the same time, this phenomenon reveals that the policies aimed at resolving the problem of youth employment were scarce in the same period. Based on these ideas and on an investigation initiated in 2011, with continuity until 2019, a quantitative-qualitative analysis is presented on a follow-up of young people who graduated from high school and belong to the low socioeconomic sector, in relation to the categorization of school, according to criteria of educational segmentation. The reconstruction of the link between education and work throughout the period 2011-2019, allowed us to show the advances in terms of expanding educational possibilities and at the same time a mismatch in the accompaniment of the transits towards the world of work in the ways youth tours. In this sense, it follows that the educational achievements were clouded by the types of jobs and working conditions to which the young people analyzed here have Access.
