Resumen:
Middle Ages, like few areas of the past, and its resulting knowledge, Medievalism, are very clear and sharp references for much part of a global society. Everyone knows and identifies that long-ago time through certain images exported by mass entertainment elements. Previously, literary works and films were the agents of these icons: now video games and series viewed online manage to be so. We take on account that cross media narratives of the 21st century increase in platforms and supports through which a story can be formatted and disseminated thanks to the gravitation and impact of digital technologies, reproduction that is not only in the hands of companies and institutions but also in those of the users themselves. Taking this circumstance into consideration the aim of this paper is to reflect on the ways video games contemplate the Middle Ages and what contributions they can make to teaching and researching.
