Resumen:
The size of micropropagated bulblets is critical for successful subsequent ex vitro stages. We report on the growth of in vitro propagated Lilium bulblets through a well established protocol with modification to the sucrose content (30, 60, 90 and 120 g.L-1) and the ionic strength of Murashige and Skoog salt medium (x1 MS and x2 MS) during a 3-month period of cultivation in darkness at 25 ºC. In all the treatments, this subculture produced a increase in bulblet fresh mass showing a significant effect of sucrose and ionic strength on both bulblet and root growth, with a maximum at 90 g.L-1  sucrose and x2 MS salt solution.
