?Fags, cops and guns: Néstor Perlongher and the last Argentinean dictatorship? analyses the poetic work of Perlongher alongside with his political practices, such as his activism in the Argentinean Homosexual Liberation Front and his role in the foundation of the first Brazilian gay group, SOMOS. This study claims that his bodily poetics of neobarroso, aiming to provide social struggles with an appropriate language for radical contestation, by linking writing, body and politics in an original form, inaugurates a new form of artistic politicization in terms of social micropolitical transformation, as an alternative to the politics of ´commitment´.
