Tuning the Schottky barrier height in metal–alkaline earth oxide interfaces

Using calculations from first principles we have demonstrated that it is possible to tune the Schottky Barrier Height in a metal–alkaline earth oxide interface by manipulating the microscopic and macroscopic dipoles that naturally form at the junction between the two materials.
