This research compares the legal framework and environment of the Argentine statistical system and the Israeli population register outlining the scope of the interrelationship between computer science and the potential use of data collected for statistical purposes in the planning of genoci-des or other types of mass population atrocities, which involve demographic policies that justify the violation of data confidentiality for segregation purposes.
