Resumen:
The concept of bioeconomy is increasingly gaining attention in SouthAmerica as a potential strategy to foster sustainability transitions. Asbioeconomy development is intertwined with often contested questionsof natural resource governance, it is important that the promotion ofbioeconomy takes place in an inclusive manner. In three case studiesfrom Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil we examine who takes up theconcept, what interests are reflected in this and the implications forsocio-environmental concerns. This points to two interrelated aspectswhich demonstrate variations in inclusiveness: the constellation of actorswho drive bioeconomy visions, and the scope of issues covered.
