The aim of this study was to evaluate the productive response and the parameters related to thecharacteristics and quality of llama carcasses (Lama glama) grazing on natural grasslands, supplemented with grainconcentrate. Two fattening trials were carried out with 18 whole male llamas in each one. In the first, asupplementation of 1.5 % (S1.5 %) was used and in the second, 2 % (S2 %), of the group´s average live weight on adry basis. The group of animals that did not receive supplementation was considered as a control treatment (T) andwas assigned only to direct grazing of the lots, which were made up of natural grasslands. The supplementconsisted of 80 % ground corn grain and 20 % soybean expeller. It was offered in a daily group delivery in themorning. A randomized complete block experimental design was used. The first trial lasted 34 days, the second, 60days, with a 10dayadaptation period. In both trials, the parameters associated with the productive response (finalweight, final fast weight, daily live weight gain, body condition score) showed statistically significant differenceswhen comparing the diet with the supplemented treatment with respect to the control diet in grazing (p < 0.05).Regarding the parameters related to carcass characteristics and quality, significant statistical differences were observed when comparing the diet with the supplemented treatment with respect to the control diet in grazing (p
