PALEOHERPETOLOGY IN THE NORTHEAST AND NORTHWEST OF ARGENTINA. Central/North argentinean provinces such as Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Santa Fe, Catamarca, Salta, and Jujuy play a very important role in the paleoherpetology history of our country. They were and still are the scene of several geological-paleontological explorations, and the territory where institutions that build up the knowledge of this discipline in South America developed, through their collections, protagonists, and lines of research. This article presents the main facts and protagonists of this history, who left their mark on the different Museums, institutes and national universities of these provinces of the Northeast and Northwest of Argentina.
