Advisory Committees of Great Areas


The advisory committees of great areas aim at advising the Board of Directors to contribute to the definition of policies for the consolidation and harmonic development of the diverse scientific and technological disciplines. Their functions are:

  • To analyze the academic aspects of the resources presented to the Board and not contemplated in Articles 41 of the Law 20,464.
  • Advise on the formation of disciplinary advisory committees, Ad hoc or special committees to study subjects and/or special problems.
  • To propose guidelines and homogeneous evaluation criteria for disciplines of the Great Area.
  • To interact with the rest of the Great Areas to present topics of common interest to the Board.
  • To recommend mechanisms, schedules and all aspects that guarantee the assessment process.
  • To advise the Board in all matters submitted for its consideration.
