We look for a definition  orf randomness that validates the current practice of   pseudorandom generators. In this talk I will recall  background material that I regard insightful for a definition of randomness.  Mainly  Knuth´s "The Art of Computing programming" Vol2, Chapter 3  on Random numbers, plus some other material on Resource  Bounded Complexity.
