Resumen:
Multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) with a diameter of 30e50 nm was added to thenegative electrode of a NieMH battery in order to study the effect of its purificationtreatment on the electrochemical performance. Three different reflux assisted digestionmethods were analyzed. MWCNT were structural characterized before and after purificationsby means of different techniques such as HRTEM, EDS, SEM, XRD and FTIR. Subsequentlythey were incorporated into the working electrode to evaluate the electrochemicalperformance by charge/discharge cycling and rate capability.Copyright ª 2013, Hydrogen Energy Publications, LLC.
