Resumen:
In Multiple Sclerosis (MS) the immune-mediated oligodendrocyte damage leads to myelin loss and neurodegeneration. Current treatments are ineffective for the treatment of progressive forms of MS. As MS lesions were shown to contain hyaluronan deposits that inhibit oligodendroglial maturation and remyelination, we tested if hyaluronan depletion could improve oligodendrogenesis from neural stem and progenitor cells (NSC/NPC).
