Resumen:
The work has been framed in the complex problems generated by the current productive model. My country (Argentina) is among the main producers and exporters of honey in the world, in addition to other products and services of honey bee hives. As I mentioned before, the national bee production does not escape the problems of global activity, mainly the unusual increase in the annual loss of colonies, which constitutes a current topic of discussion in some government areas and mainly in the academic field.Broadly, I address problematics such as long-term effects of synthetic acaricides commonly employed in productive hives and possible mitigation strategies; identification of potential toxicity biomarkers and behavioral components; interactions such as pesticide-pathogen-host, among other issues. I have decided to apply for this workshop because I am sure it would enrich my future studies. Principally, my aim is to strengthen this incipient research line, providing robust results that allow the establishment of sustainable management alternatives in the long term and, directly, those related to food security. Besides, the awareness of producers about management practices and indirectly, the conservation of ecosystems. Therefore, interaction with reference groups at the global level is essential to allow the formation of new human resources with more accurate perspectives. Moreover I consider this workshop as a great opportunity to get in touch with another bee researchers and can identify some common ground and, highlighting again, improvements for future experimentation. With respect the latter, many hypothesis have guided my research, generated from the knowledge gaps founded during my doctoral training, daily work, literature and questions that I would be glad to share and discuss with expert researchers.
