Resumen:
The Vanadium Oxide Nanotubes (VOx NT’s) alternate layers of VOx and template (organic molecules that support and harden the nanostructure). The VOx NT’s show potential technological applications as Li-battery cathodes and small amounts of V4+ affects notably its performance. With the idea to change the interlamellar distance between VOx layer and reducing the amount of V4+ in the NT’s, we prepared samples (using Sol-Gel method followed by hydrothermal treatment) with different primary amine lengths (CnH2n+1NH2 with 46n616) as template and different VOx precursors. The samples were characterized by TEM and X-ray diffraction. The magnetic properties of the NT’s (4-300K) were studied by Electron Paramagnetic Resonance and magnetic susceptibility (X). Three contributions to X are present: diamagnetic, which is coming from the organic templates and ion cores; the single paramagnetic V4+ and the V-V dimmers contribution.
