The new needs and problems posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the isolation measuresreassess debates about digital rigths in general, and privacy in particular.I will adressed the following questions: How privacy is affected by digital technologies thatgovernments implemented during the health emergency in Latin America? Which are theopportunities to stands in the way of massive surveillance during the pandemic?These questions are approached from the theoretical perspective of privacy and data protection as fundamental human rights.
