We collect different groups of data of the variation of the fine structure constantto statistically compare and verify the consistency between them using the Student testand Confidence Intervals. We separate data sets in smaller intervals based on a proposedcriterion. Another statistical analysis is proposed that considers phenomenological modelsfor the variation in . The results show consistency for a certain amount of reduced intervalsfor each pair of data sets taken into account, in contrast to those obtained considering themean values from the entire interval.
