The derivatives of the benzofuranos generally are used as marking taxonomic in the Asteraceae family and some of them have bacteriostática, antitumorlike and insecticide activity. Some of the species of the Werneria sort member of the Senecioneae Tribe of the Asteraceae Family, well are known in the popular medicine of South America, by their properties antirheumatic, antihypertensive and digestive. The compound 6-hidroxitremetona solid crystalline, is an isolated bioactivo metabolito of Xenophyllum poposum. Similar molecules as the 4 - hidroxy -6-methoxytremetona (remirol) presents/displays, in studies made in rats, anti-inflammatory activity; reason why ¬¬ could be used in the control . Due]of the inflammatory reactions during bacterial or allergic infections [1  to the properties attributed by the popular medicine to the derivatives of the benzofuranos, it is considered interesting to know the physical and chemical properties the isolated substance: 6-hidroxitremetona, of which in addition  ¬¬.]activity anti HIV-1 in vitro has been reported [2
