Resumen:
This commentary deals with the controversial relation between magnetic fields (MF) and cancer. Having been argued in a recent review article published in the Proceedings B that circadian rhythms could be a key to explain how MF could cause cancer, we pose additional hypotheses on how the intermittence and cycling patterns of the exposure to MF could radically change the effect. MF could either cause cancer or be used for cancer treatment, depending on their interplay with intrinsic ultradian and circadian oscillations.
