Mössbauer spectroscopy was applied to the quantitative determination of the reaction progress during some steps in the hydrogen assisted solid preparation of Nd-Fe-B based hard magnetic materials, where the signals coming from the disproportionated and recombined phases can be properly resolved. New results on the kinetics and activation energy of the recombination process, as well as on the temperature dependence of the disproportionation reaction on NdnFego.jB&s and Nd:4.
