Losmetalespesadossoncomunescontaminantesenaguaypresentanunserioproblemaambientaldevidoasualtatoxicidad,persistenciaybioacumulación.Estosmetalesprovienendeefluentesdeindustriasdeminería,recubrimientodemetales(galvanoplastía)yelectrónica,entreotras.Porlotanto,eluso,tratamientoyreutilizacióndelaguaanivelindustrialconstituyenundesafíoglobal.Estetrabajoproponeeltratamientodeestassolucionesreteniendoloscationesensuperficiesdealuminiomodificadas,permitiendolarecuperaciónymonitoreodelosmetales.Lasmodificacionesserealizanconrecubrimientosdeacetatodecelulosa(AC)conteniendonanopartículasdemagnetita@celulosa(Fe3O4@Cel).ElsistemamodificadoconFe3O4@CelgeneraseñalesunordendemagnitudmayoresquecuandosolamenteseutilizaFe3O4,sinembargo,elaumentodeláreasuperficialnoalcanzaparajustificareso.TambiénselogróunaumentodelaseñalaumentandolaconcentraciónylaproporcióndeFe3O4@Cel/ACsobrelamalla.Esinteresante,además,elefectoquetieneelACdemayorpesomolecularsobrelarepetitividaddeloresultados.
