Resumen:
In spatially coupled bipolar electrochemistry, electrodisolution and electrodeposition process in an applied electric field are exploited to create directional growth of copper electrodeposits between two copper discs not physically linked to an external voltage source. Here we study the ion trasport in the interdisc region of thin-layer cells under square wave electric potencial pulses by means of optical and particle velocimetry techniques. Experiments and measurements reveal that ion transport and deposit morphology, that constitute crucial factors in the characteristics of the connection, and subtantially influenced by pulsed frecuency.
