Resumen:
This paper documents the story of the PANGAS initiative in the past 10 years, from its inception to its development phases, with achievements and lessons learned. The paper is divided into three main sections: (1) a short description of the different phases of PANGAS; (2) a description of the PANGAS framework and the distinct biophysical and governance components developed within the initiative; and (3) a section describing the development of multidisciplinary tools, capacity building, and lessons learned after a decade of interdisciplinary collaborative research, training, and management.
