Resumen:
The current growing interest in both academia and industry in biodegradable materials is mainly to contribute to the environmental pollution solutions, as well as to obtain high valuable products. Yerba mate extracts have antioxidant compounds with the ability to prevent food spoilage, while nanoparticle can improve the mechanical properties of the composites. Therefore, the aim of this work is to develop a bilayer material composed by a layer of starch-yerba mate extract and a layer of starch-TiO2 nanoparticles to be used as food packaging.
