Resumen:
This paper presents an analysis of measurements of mean flow andturbulence statistics in bubble plumes conducted in a large experimentaltank (digester) at a wastewater treatment plant. Profiles of dissipation ratesof turbulent kinetic energy are presented for the first time, together withdistributions for the turbulent kinetic energy and Kolmogorov lengthscales. Dissipation rates obtained from time velocity series and SCAMPmeasurements are also compared.
