Resumen:
Thermogravimetric measurements have been performed at 1173 K onLa,,,Sr,,CuO~ samples with the tetragonal K,NiF,-type structure.Depending on the sample preparation method, La,,~Sr,,CuO~ can betrapped in metastable states showing a characteristic plateau m Paz vsy at PO1 = 5( f 2) x 10m3 atm. The existence of this plateau is correlativeto y values larger than y = 4. Cycling the sample betweenPO, = 1 to lop6 atm makes the metastable isotherms to evolve slowlytowards the true equilibrium one. A possible reason for the appearanceof the plateau is discussed in terms of La8~.~Sr.CusOz0_E microdomains.
