Resumen:
The effects of occupancy and user behavior have been recently recognized as one ofthe leading influences of energy consumption in buildings. Occupant?s actions changethe indoor environment in terms of temperature, humidity, air quality, etc. whichinfluences total energy consumption of a building. These are important factors in thestudy of uncertainties between building performance simulation at a project stage andthe real response of the built dwelling. There is a strong need for more accurateapproaches of modeling occupant behavior to support planners and building managersduring the design phase and building operation. The aim of this research is to findpredictable parameters to obtain occupancy and user behavior profiles that could betaken into account for building simulation in dynamic prediction software such as?Energy Plus?. For that purpose, temperatures of a real-life building operation weremonitored in the city of Mendoza, Argentina
