Resumen:
The exact adsorption thermodynamics of particles withnonsymmetrical ad-ad interactions on a one-dimensional space ispresented. The asymmetry is introduced by considering the lateralinteractions depending on the orientation of the adsorbedmolecules. The adsorption process is monitored by following theadsorption isotherm, the thermodynamic factor, the differentialheat of adsorption, and the configurational entropy of theadlayer. A rich variety of different behaviors is found withrespect to the standard lattice gas of interacting monomers. Theresulting thermodynamic description may also be applicable toadsorption and transport of nonspherical molecules inlow-dimensional systems such as carbon nanotubes.
