Resumen:
In this paper we obtain an extension of the P´olya inequality forunivariate real polynomials in $L^p$ spaces and new estimates forcertain class of measurable sets. Inequalities for complexpolynomials are also considered. We give an application to amultipoint best local approximation problem for real and complexpolynomials.
